Some of the animals that can be observed along the trails are the white-faced monkey and the red spider monkey. Footprints of Jaguars, Tapirs, Coyotes, and Peccary, can be seen crossing the paths in the area as well. There have been reports of more than 80 species of birds observed, among them being the Fabulous Quetzal, 7 species of Warblers, 5 species of Hummingbirds, the Bonking Bell Bird and many more.

Finca Rosa Blanca is situated in the Central Valley, surrounded by several magnificent volcanoes, including Irazú, Poás and Turrialba. Barva Volcano is located within the northwest area of Braulio Carillo, the largest of the National Parks, and is only 30 minutes from Finca Rosa Blanca.
