Finca Rosa Blanca Country Inn Reopens as Luxury Hotel
Finca Rosa Blanca Country Inn, the first boutique and perhaps most luxurious small and exclusive hideaway in Costa Rica offers 13 unique rooms, each oriented around high quality, comfort, art and design. Finca Rosa Blanca recently completed a major renovation in 2007 adding a new restaurant, bar, spa, gift store, reception area with parking under roof and 4 new suites.
El Tigre Vestido is a stunning full-service restaurant with a large covered outdoor deck and magnificent views across the bucolic coffee fields below. Along with our famous gourmet pris fixe dinners offered in three seatings and choice of table, the elegant indoor restaurant is filled with contemporary art and offers a large kiva-style fireplace to warm our guests on cool evenings. Bar Buho is the whimsical inviting bar with luxurious sofas as well as a cozy Costa Rican style fireplace where our guests can enjoy a sunset cocktail or a cappuccino made from Rosa Blanca’s own organic coffee.
We are pleased to announce the opening of our full service spa in an elegant and intimate salon. El Targua Spa invites our guests to enjoy relaxing and refreshing massages, exotic body wraps or organic body scrubs in addition to facials, manicures and pedicures. Each treatment room includes a Jacuzzi bath and separate shower with a deck from which the guest can enjoy the views of the surrounding volcanoes. The spa and restaurant are located down a garden path just steps from the new reception area, and store where local arts and crafts, Rosa Blanca’s own organic coffee, music and books and sundries can be bought all of which are conveniently located just inside the gated and secure grounds.
Each of the 13 junior and master suites at Finca Rosa Blanca now include Jacuzzi bathtubs, luxurious bathrobes and slippers, fully-stocked mini bars and decks or terraces from which the guests can enjoy the magnificent views of the valley below and the volcanoes above. These commodious suites offer luxurious pillow top mattresses, 100% bamboo sheets and hypoallergenic down substitute duvets and pillows. Cotton plush towels and natural shampoos and soaps add to the comfort of the rooms. We offer evening turndown and twice daily maid service as well as coffee or tea delivered to your doorstep each morning at the requested time.
Finca Rosa Blanca has wireless Internet service in all public areas but we also have a fully equipped Business Center with computers and free wireless service. The library is a lovely tranquil spot to read through our extensive collection of books and a television is available for those wishing to use it. For those with physical challenges we offer our Ranchito Master Suite which is handicapped accessible as well as our restaurant, bar, reception, spa and public bathrooms.
No cars may enter the grounds, but rather are parked by a hotel valet in a separate guarded parking area across the street and guests are transported from the reception and on to their rooms via electric car. Rosa Blanca provides the hotel van for transportation to and from the airports and a naturalist bilingual guide for private tours anywhere in the country. Our scenic free form swimming pool is cleaned through a copper-silver ionization system and is heated by solar panels to a very comfortable level. The large Jacuzzi at the pool is also cleaned through a non-chemical salt system. The hotel owns a certified organic shade grown coffee farm contiguous to the hotel property. We recommend our private tours of coffee production at the farm all year as well as the organic vegetable green house, fruit orchards and the tropical flora and trees in the lush mountain landscape. Our 5 horses are beautifully groomed and trained to take the guests into the mountains and coffee farms above with our horse wrangler as a guide.
Finca Rosa Blanca Country Inn continues to achieve the highest score of five “green leaves” in the Certification for Sustainable Tourism (CST), a system created and managed by Costa Rica’s Institute of Tourism (ICT). The CST is a program that seeks to categorize and certify each tourism entity according to the degree in which its operations comply with a model of sustainability based on four fundamental aspects. These include the interaction between the hotel and its surrounding natural habitat, the management policies and the operational systems within the hotel and its infrastructure, the education and participation of the guests with the hotel’s sustainable policies and programs and the benefits to the local community and Costa Rica. It is our goal to be a global example of biological, architectural, educational and social responsibility that both enhances the tourist’s experience and develops their social and environmental conscience.
