If you arrive via a non-authorized location layover, have your boarding passes ready. You will be required to show that your flight originated in an authorized country/state and that your layover was under 18 hours.

Requirements: Private Flights and Private Yachts
Private flights and private yachts are subject to different (and, generally fewer) requirements than commercial flights.
As of September 1, private flights may arrive from authorized countries and states; the Ministry of Health and the General Directorate of Migration and Foreigners may also grant special permissions to private flights originating in unauthorized countries and states. Please contact us with questions about entering via a private flight.
As of September 1, passengers on private yachts are also permitted entry to Costa Rica. A PCR-RT test is not required (although it is preferred, if possible).
