Here’s a family-friendly adventure that all generations will enjoy, blending daily activities for kids with iconic nature spots where parents and grandparents can relax and enjoy Costa Rican culture and wildlife. Available June 1–September 30, 2019.

Package includes complimentary breakfast. Lunch and dinner not included. This base package is designed for 2 Adults and 1 Child under 16. Additional bedrooms and suites are available for larger families or additional children for an add-on fee. Tour Description
Day One:
On your first day at Finca Rosa Blanca, you will go with our naturalist guide on a nature walk and tour of our shade-grown coffee plantation, experiencing the wealth of wildlife and greenery in our own backyard. Watch a parade of leaf-cutter ants along the path, or spot parrots flying in a noisy group over the native trees in the coffee farm. Watch how coffee “cherries” go from the field to roaster to cup.
In the afternoon, you’ll head off to Corso Dairy Farm where you will take an easy walking or tractor tour of a working dairy farm full of nature trails, strawberry fields, and wonderful views of Barva and Poás volcanoes. See how Corso Dairy herds their dairy cows and brings them into the dairy each day. Learn how to milk cows, feed the calves, and witness the process of making cheese while sampling at the Fábrica de Queso Artesanal.
Day Two:
On our Choco Tour, visit an outdoor experiential chocolate learning center and exhibit which takes you from bean to cup to bar with a local Costa Rican culinary historian. Guests start with an intro to the cacao plant, its pods, and fruit which conceal internal magic – the cacao beans. Your guide will share with you the history of cacao – its origins in Central America, its original uses in Pre-Colombian times up through the current day. Try your hand at making some of your own chocolate bonbons with Costa Rican fruits and ingredients.

After you’ve indulged on chocolate, you’ll be ready for a walk around Zoo Ave. Pronounced Zoh “Ahhhh-vay” (which means “Bird Zoo” in Spanish), a beautiful natural-environment park-rescue. Zoo Ave has provided both temporary and permanent homes for injured, domesticated, or surrendered animals, including dozens of species of birds; toucans, macaws, cranes, curacaos, and parrots; in addition to iguanas, indigenous deer, turtles, and howler monkeys. You will get a chance to see these native Costa Rican animals up close.

Costa Rica Family Adventure Package is only available for new bookings.

All bookings must be paid in full 30 days prior to arrival.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Finca Rosa Blanca is a boutique exclusive property with a limited number of rooms. Unfortunately, we cannot refund cancellations close to the anticipated arrival date. We encourage guests to purchase travel insurance to protect against any last-minute change in plans.

Refund Policy:

31 days or more = Full refund - $50 Service Charge

30 days or less = No refund provided

Cost: $1,600 for 2 Adults and one child (taxes and coffee tour included)

(Extra children age 4-12 = $25/day additional; Extra children age 12+ = $50/day additional)
